Sewing training programme for six months for second batch of war affected women in Chedikulam area was concluded with an exhibition and a function to issue certificates was held on 13th December 2012.Certificates were issued to 20 participants who completed the training programme. Mr.N. Kamalathasan, Divisional Secretary, Venkalachedikulam was the chief guest at the occasion. Mr. C.V.K. Sivagnanam, President, CFCD and Mr. T. Thevathas, Programme Secretary also graced the occasion. This programme had been funded by Sydney Murugan temple.

Centre for Child Development with the support of “Siruvar Seithi” conducted a Children Art Exhibition at the office of the Council of NGOs, Jaffna District on 20.12.2012. Nearly 200 drawings were exhibited. Mr.C.V.K.Sivagnanam President of CFCD presided this function. Miss.S.Kothai, Jaffna District Coordinator of National Child Protection Authority participated as Chief Guest and Mr.Prabakaran, ISA Fine Arts, Island Zone participated as Special guest. Children from our target villages, Public and other NGO officers attended this exhibition and seen the drawings of the children with enthusiasm.

CEFCO Cheddikulam in collaboration with Handicap International conducted International day and sports for Handicap children at Cheddikulum on 03.12.2012. Mr.N.Kamalathasan, Divisional Secretary of Vengalacheddikulum participated as chief guest. Mr. Steve Hacknet, Programme Manager of Handicap International participated as special guest. Children of CEFCO children club and Special Needs children of Anbu Illam participated in this event.
