The British High Commission funded CFCD through UNDP to implement the “Support for Durable Resettlement” (SRD) project. It was implemented in Tellipalai, Jaffna and Uduvil DS Divisions in Jaffna District from January until August 2021. A leather bags production unit was promoted through Veskey WRDS at Reclamation East, Colombothurai where 12 vulnerable women were trained by the Industrial Development Board (IDB) on the production of leather bags and foot wear. The value-addition training facilitated the women group to improve marketing and enhance their daily earnings. Sewing machines were provided for the women group in addition to the value-addition training by the project

Oxygen Nasal Machine LKR 1,355,0002. Neo Puff Infant Resuscitator LKR 280,0003. Multipara Monitor LKR 275,0004. Table top pulse Oximeter LKR 110,000 Total LKR 2,020,000In addition, CFCD has provided 200 dry food packs to the District Secretariat Mullaithivu which cost LKR 202,000 to support 200 vulnerable families in the District. CFCD is implementing a project titled “Support for Durable Resettlement” funded by the British High Commission (BHC) through United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The target areas are Tellipalai, Jaffna, Uduvil and Sandilipay DS Divisions. After conducting assessments of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in the above divisions 13 organizations have been identified for the provision of sports items for the children and youth to be usefully engaged and while away their leisure time in a healthy manner. The CBOs were given the basic COVID 19 preventive items also together with the required sports materials. The distribution took place in collaboration with the respective frontline government officers. Ms.G. Priyarajeny, Program Manager of CFCD was overseeing the distribution.
